Rails en Dreamhost

Ayer intentaron actualizar a rails 1.1 en Dreamhost, sin mucho éxito. Tuvieron que dar marcha atrás y volver a la 1.0. Al menos, explican en su blog que es lo que pasó

En este hosting solo tengo este blog y la web de las jornadas de linux málaga. Antes de que dieran marcha atrás, hice que volvieran a funcionar las webs haciendo uso de una de las "features" de rails y es tener una versión de rails para tu aplicación:

cd tuapp/vendor/
svn export "http://dev.rubyonrails.org/svn/rails/tags/rel_1-0-0" rails

En el weblog de rails, ya recomendaban hacer un "freeze" de la versión de rails cuando estás en un hosting compartido para que no te pasen estas cosas.
