Rails 1.1.2 en Ubuntu Breezy

Para instalar la última versión de Rails en Ubuntu Breezy, hay que actualizar la versión de ruby a la 1.8.4, ya que la que trae por defecto breezy no es compatible con la última versión de rails. La forma más sencilla es modificar /etc/apt/source.list para que apunte main a la siguiente versión de Ubuntu, dapper. Es decir, cambiar la linea de:
deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu breezy main restricted
a:
deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu dapper main restricted
Seguidamente:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install ruby1.8
gem install rails --include-dependencies
Una vez hecho esto, podemos cambiar el source.list a breezy de nuevo.
Y hablando de Ubuntu, hoy ha salido la beta de Dapper 6.06. También han publicado un proceso de actualización desde Breezy.
